(b)           On December 18, 2017, The Travelers Companies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that Brian MacLean, President and Chief Operating Officer, will retire after 30 years with the Company.  Mr.  MacLean will begin transitioning out of his current role on February 1, 2018 and officially retire from the Company effective March 31, 2018.

 

A copy of the Company’s press release announcing Mr. MacLean’s retirement is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated into this Item 5.02 by reference.
