On October 15, 2003, Paradyne Networks, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that it had reached an agreement to settle the class action lawsuit commenced in October 2000 against the Company and certain of its former and current officers and directors in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division. Additional information with regard to the foregoing is contained in the press release attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
