CHANGE IN REGISTRANT’S CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

 

Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (the “Company”) is hereby informing that Mr. Amitabh A Khanna, its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has resigned from the post with effect from closing of business hours of May 31, 2005. Mr. Rajiv Dhar has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from Monday June 6, 2005.

 

Mr. Rajiv Dhar is a Chartered Accountant with around 20 yrs of experience of which the last 10 years have been with the TATA Group. He has successfully lead and managed teams in the areas of M&A, corporate strategy, corporate finance, accounting, cost control and taxation. Over the years he has worked in the telecommunications, oil & gas, construction and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining VSNL, he was working at Tata Industries Limited, where he has been a member of the core team responsible to put in place the TATA Group’s strategy on telecommunication. This includes implementing the strategy for access i.e. cellular/mobile, fixed line, broadband play on pan India basis, infrastructure and value added services.
