Item 5.02: Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

 

(b) Shirley M. Payne, Chief Accounting Officer of TECO Energy, Inc., has notified the Company that she is resigning effective the close of business on January 26, 2007, in order to accept a position at Northeast Utilities. It is anticipated that a successor will be named at the Board of Directors’ meeting on January 31, 2007 and that Payne will provide services to assist with an orderly transition.
