YRC Worldwide Inc. (the Company) announced that certain of its subsidiaries, including Yellow Transportation and Roadway, will commence contract discussions with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (the Teamsters Union) for a new National Master Freight Agreement (NMFA) as soon as early September. The existing NMFA expires March 31, 2008 and a new NMFA would be effective April 1, 2008.
A copy of the press release announcing the commencement of labor negotiations is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
