Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

Sprint Nextel Corporation (the “Company”) reiterates its expectation to reduce its gross debt by at least $1 billion by the end of the third quarter, as approved by the Company’s board of directors. Any similar debt reduction would require approval by the Company’s board, and there has been no such approval.
