Item 8.01 Other Events.

On December 1, 2006, Claire's Stores, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that it is exploring strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value, including a possible sale of the Company, and that Goldman Sachs & Co. has been retained as financial advisor to assist in this effort.

A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
