Item 7.01  Regulation FD Disclosure

Eric Feldstein, GMAC's Chairman, today confirmed that GMAC expects
year-over-year net income from its Financing Operations to be down and net
income from its Mortgage and Insurance Operations to be up. He stated that he
expects GMAC's consolidated net income to be at least $2.5 billion. He also
stated that GMAC intends to remit dividends in excess of $2.0 billion to its
parent, GM. This information was expressed at investor meetings held in New
York, New York today, June 16, 2005.
