On
October 18, 2007, Matthews International Corporation issued a press release
announcing the declaration of a quarterly dividend of $0.06 per share on the
Company’s common stock. The quarterly dividend has been increased
one-half cent per share (9.1%) from $0.055 to $0.06. The dividend is
payable November 14, 2007 to stockholders of record October 31,
2007. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit
99.1.
