Item 8.01.		Other Events.

     In connection with the closing of an acquisition by Expedia, Inc. (the “Company”) and the related holding of Euros in order to economically hedge the purchase price, the Company has recorded a pre-tax currency loss of approximately $21 million. This loss will be classified in “Other, net” on the Company’s consolidated statement of income and included in the calculation of adjusted net income.
