OceanSound Partners Adds Seven New Professionals to its Growing Team

OceanSound Partners (“OceanSound”), a private equity firm that invests in technology and technology-enabled services companies serving government and enterprise end markets, today announced the addition of seven professionals to support the firm’s growth in regulatory assets under management (“RAUM”), portfolio companies and investment activity. The firm currently manages more than $1.8bn in RAUM, has seven companies in its portfolio and has completed acquisitions of 29 companies since inception.

The new additions to OceanSound consist of Sam Todd, as a Vice President, Caroline Weakland, as a Senior Associate, and Alexander Giolito, Richard Hagestad, Nicholas Iserloth and Isha Kothari as Associates. Laurie Hadick also joins the firm as Director of Compliance.

Sam Todd, Vice President, previously was a Vice President at Thoma Bravo’s upper middle market private equity fund, Discover. Earlier in his career, Sam was at Spectrum Equity. He started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at M&A advisory firm North Point Advisors and holds a dual A.B. in Economics and English from Dartmouth College.

Caroline Weakland, Senior Associate, joins OceanSound from Sun Capital Partners, where she worked in the firm’s Technology Group. Previously, Caroline served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Houlihan Lokey and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Alexander Giolito, Associate, previously was an Investment Banking Associate at Jefferies in San Francisco, working in the firm’s Technology Group. He formerly served as a Senior Associate at Silicon Valley Bank. Alex holds a dual B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Richard Hagestad, Associate, comes to OceanSound from Lazard, where he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Aerospace and Defense Group and the Interactive and Digital Media Group. Richard holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

Nicholas Iserloth, Associate, was an Investment Banking Associate in the Global Technology Group at Jefferies. Nick started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Nomura and holds a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.

Isha Kothari, Associate, joins OceanSound after serving as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Enterprise Software Group at Spurrier Capital Partners, which was acquired by Lincoln International. Isha holds a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College.

Laurie Hadick, Director of Compliance, joins OceanSound after serving as Chief Compliance Officer for private funds manager HealthCor Management. Earlier in her career, she served as Compliance Officer for global asset manager Alphadyne Asset Management. Laurie holds a B.A. in English Literature at Trinity College (Connecticut), and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
