CCC to Issue Updates to Market Report on Scholarly Metadata at the Society for Scholarly Publishing Annual Meeting

The Newest Edition of The State of Scholarly Metadata Report Will Provide an Updated Snapshot of the Current Metadata Supply Chain and Highlight Industry Initiatives to Improve Metadata Management Across the Research Lifecycle

CCC, a leader in advancing copyright, accelerating knowledge, and powering innovation, announces that the newest edition of The State of Scholarly Metadata report, which depicts the complexities and value of scholarly publishing metadata, will be made available at the 2024 Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) 46th Annual Meeting 29-31 May at the Westin Boston Seaport District.

The CCC team will be in Booth #403 to unveil recent updates to The State of Scholarly Metadata interactive report, which includes a snapshot of the current metadata supply chain and an examination of the significant economic and social impact for researchers, institutions, funders, and publishers on the journey to Open Access (OA). Based on direct input from the community, the report now showcases important initiatives working to improve metadata management. The report will be available online via the CCC website.

CCC is also hosting four sessions at the SSP Annual Meeting:

CCC recently hosted “Publishers, Copyright & AI: Taking Action” at the 2024 London Book Fair where executives from leading scholarly publishers discussed topics at the intersection of publishing, copyright, and AI. The London Book Fair panel followed a series of CCC Town Hall events on the topic of AI:
