This campaign features brick-and-mortar interstate billboards along with complimentary digital scapes in Downtown Atlanta near the I-75/85 connector and the State Capitol. A microsite — StopLegalSystemAbuse.org — and localized social media advertising are also featured. These efforts further engage and encourage consumers to voice their support for much-needed legal reform in the Peach State.

One of the biggest challenges facing Georgia today is the surge of frivolous lawsuits driven by billboard attorneys taking advantage of the state’s high ranking as a “judicial hellhole” according the American Tort Reform Association. This widespread legal system abuse is clogging the courts and increasing prices on Georgia consumers directly, imposing steep estimated costs of $1,415 to their annual household expenses.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and state legislative leaders introduced a comprehensive tort reform package last week that addresses the impacts of legal system abuse in the Peach State.

Triple-I CEO Sean Kevelighan and Robert Townley, president of Townley Kenton, an Atlanta independent insurance agency, highlighted the harmful impact of legal system abuse on Georgians in a video, warning that “the big billboard attorneys are promising riches, when in fact it’s just raising everyone’s insurance costs and more.”

Building on this message, Triple-I engaged directly with consumers, capturing firsthand experiences with billboard attorneys and the tactics that encourage frivolous lawsuits.

To further raise awareness, Triple-I has also launched a digital billboard campaign across the Metro Atlanta area surrounding the state Capitol, reaching a wide audience through displays at bus stops and other urban panels.

The campaign aims to shed light on how legal system abuse drives up auto, home and business insurance costs, ultimately hurting Georgia’s entire economy. As part of this effort, Triple-I recently launched StopLegalSystemAbuse.org, a resource designed to educate consumers on the issue.
