Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Kicks Off US Franchising Drive

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has completed its Franchise Disclosure Documents, in accordance with US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations, enabling the business to approach potential franchisees about two of its popular casual dining brands.

The group, which currently has 94 owned and licenced restaurants worldwide, has completed the necessary documentation to develop both the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza brands across the US.

Franchising is core to the company’s expansion strategy, with the US a priority market given its scale and established culture for franchising. To date the majority of the group’s restaurants have been directly owned sites or licenced. For example, a licensing agreement with Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The group plans to kick off its US franchising drive immediately, with a focus on larger cities. It is targeting at least a dozen new franchise agreements in America over the next five years. The business will work with the franchise development consultant, Catesby, to engage with potential partners.
