BTG Pactual Global Alternatives Appoints Craig Kennedy as Senior Advisor

BTG Pactual Global Alternatives, a ~US$ 9.4 billion division of BTG Pactual focused on investing in specialized alternatives across the U.S. and Latin America, announced today that Craig Kennedy has joined the firm as Senior Advisor. In this role, Kennedy will focus on origination and capital formation across the firm’s U.S. Private Markets strategies: Strategic Capital (Strat Cap) and U.S. Private Credit Investments (PCI).

Kennedy brings more than two decades of experience in private and public markets, with deep expertise in advising companies across industries and building long-term investor relationships. He spent 15 years as a partner at Allen & Company LLC, a privately held merchant bank, where he worked with many of the firm’s innovative clients and served as a long-term board advisor. Earlier in his career, Kennedy held senior roles at Bank of America Securities’ Media and Telecom Group and at Gleacher NatWest.

“Craig’s appointment reflects our continued focus on expanding our U.S. Private Markets platform,” said Gerrity Lansing, Head of BTG Pactual Global Alternatives. “His expertise and industry insight will support our efforts to grow both Strat Cap and PCI in ways that align with the overall growth and development of BTG Pactual Global Alternatives.”

James Frank, Head of Strat Cap, said: “Craig’s reputation and track record of cultivating trusted, long-term relationships make him a tremendous resource for our team. His expertise will help us broaden our network and continue to deliver differentiated capital solutions to our partners.”

Tom Steiglehner, Head of PCI, added: “Our private credit strategy is centered on providing thoughtful, flexible capital to businesses across industries. Craig’s market knowledge and perspective will enhance the way we engage with both companies and investors.”

“I am excited to join BTG Pactual Global Alternatives and partner with the talented teams leading Strat Cap and PCI,” Kennedy said. “I believe the platform’s breadth and long-term perspective are differentiated, compelling, and will resonate with family offices. I look forward to leveraging my experience and relationships to help expand its reach and impact for both investors and portfolio companies.”

BTG Pactual Global Alternatives’ U.S. Private Markets platform includes Strategic Capital, which provides customized capital solutions to asset-oriented businesses, and U.S. Private Credit Investments, which is focused on idiosyncratic, secured loans within the middle and lower middle market.
