Lost Coffee is proud to celebrate a special milestone this May: the one-year anniversaries of both its Highlands Ranch locations. The Springer café opened its doors on May 1, 2024, followed closely by the Backcountry café on May 5, 2024. Together, these two shops have become important parts of the Highlands Ranch community, offering high-quality, ethically sourced coffee and a space for connection, creativity, and daily rituals.
The Springer café, located at 50 Springer Drive, was the first to open and quickly established itself as a go-to spot for locals. With its welcoming layout and role as Lost Coffee’s primary roasting facility, Springer has become a key part of the company’s operations and community footprint. Just a few days later, the Backcountry location opened at 10420 Backcountry Drive, bringing the same standard of excellence to a new neighborhood and allowing even more people to discover Lost Coffee’s signature experience.
Both cafés have played a role in expanding Lost Coffee’s mission: to create meaningful moments through coffee while doing as much good as possible from farm to cup. Each shop offers thoughtfully sourced beans, expertly crafted drinks, and a carefully designed space where guests feel comfortable to stay awhile—whether catching up with friends, meeting a client, or enjoying a quiet moment to themselves.
“These anniversaries are a reminder of how much can grow in just one year,” said a representative from Lost Coffee. “We’ve seen both of these locations become part of people’s routines and communities, and that’s what it’s all about. We’re incredibly grateful to the guests who walk through our doors each day and to the team members who bring the experience to life.”
Lost Coffee continues to prioritize quality, environmental responsibility, and transparency in everything it does. The company works directly with producers and importers who share its values, with a focus on fair wages, environmentally conscious farming practices, and support for women-owned farms and washing stations. Those commitments are reflected in every cup poured at Springer and Backcountry alike.
To mark the anniversaries, Lost Coffee is taking the month of May to celebrate the relationships built over the past year. Guests are encouraged to visit either location to enjoy their favorite drinks, chat with the team, and experience the sense of community that has come to define both spaces.
These anniversaries also serve as a chance to reflect on what makes a café more than just a place to buy coffee. They’re gathering places where stories are exchanged, ideas are sparked, and comfort is found in everyday rituals. Whether it's the barista who remembers your order or the inviting corner where you've finished countless books, the little details are what make the Lost Coffee experience uniquely meaningful.
This milestone is also a moment to recognize the staff who shape each guest’s experience with intention and care. From early-morning openers and expert roasters to the friendly faces behind the counter, the team’s hard work and dedication make these cafés feel like home. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and love for great coffee are central to Lost Coffee’s continued growth and reputation.
