Monday, 10 June, marks the beginning of one of the biggest technological events in the world: the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) by Apple. This year’s WWDC, happening from 10 to 14 June in Cupertino, California, is mostly centered around AI and how Apple intends to integrate AI-branded features into its most well-known products that billions of people use every day. Customers will be able to see how the upcoming major software release may drastically alter their iPhones, iPads, and Macs as the company will share a glimpse of its future generative AI plan.
While artificial intelligence (AI) is a hot topic in the IT sector, Apple has been silent on its views and how it can apply the technology to personal consumer goods. However, this year’s conference may initiate the tech giant’s journey into this transformative technology. The four-day event will unveil how Apple competes with AI giants Microsoft and Google.
Apple’s approach to AI will probably start out slowly and pick up steam over time. It is anticipated that Apple’s artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities will be integrated into the operating systems of the latest iPhones and other gadgets. Some changes that may arise could involve lightning-fast search, voice transcriptions, and a faster responding Siri. The latter is maybe the one that may make a difference and provide Apple’s voice assistant a stronger foundation.
Beyond the much-anticipated AI announcement, the event will largely cover the upgradation of developer tools for creating iPhone and Mac products. It will also provide the industry with a clear understanding of the business’s aims for the year 2024-2025. Apple has previously used the occasion to introduce new gadgets that allow developers to create apps and other content.
Apple is also expected to present the winners of its Apple Design Awards for the best games and applications of the year at WWDC. Viewers may also learn about additional features in watchOS, the operating system that runs the Apple Watch, and visionOS on the Apple Vision Pro, which were revealed at last year’s WWDC.
