Dollar General Shoppers Can Support Literacy by Purchasing Lysol and Air Wick Products

Shoppers who purchase Lysol or Air Wick products at any Dollar General store will help promote literacy in our communities. For every Lysol and Air Wick product purchased at Dollar General from Oct. 2 – Nov. 13, 5 cents will be donated by Reckitt Benckiser to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, up to $150,000. In addition, customers can mail Dollar General receipts for Lysol or Air Wick purchases to Dollar General Literacy – Add’l Donation, PO Box 1235, Grand Rapids, MN 55745-1235 – and a $1 donation will be made by Reckitt Benckiser to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, up to $10,000.

“We encourage shoppers to participate in Dollar General’s mission of Serving Others through the Improving Lives program,” said Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s Chairman and CEO. “Improving Lives is an easy way to make a difference through everyday purchases of Lysol and Air Wick products. We’re excited about positively changing lives through this program.”

Dollar General shoppers can also enter the Lysol/Air Wick Dollar General Improving Lives online sweepstakes. To enter, visit www.dgliteracy.com and register for a chance to win a $250 Dollar General gift card and a $10,000 donation to a local charity that supports literacy. Three winners will receive a gift card and a donation to a local charity that supports literacy. There is no purchase necessary to enter. Through Lysol and Air Wick purchases and receipts, Reckitt Benckiser will donate up to $160,000 to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
