i365, A Seagate Company, and Hammer Announce Pan-European Distribution Agreement

i365, Inc., A Seagate Company (NASDAQ:STX), today announced that Hammer, Europe’s leading distributor dedicated solely to storage, has become a distributor for the entire EVault® product portfolio, which includes EVault for Microsoft® System Center Data Protection Manager (EVault for DPM), EVault Software, and the award-winning EVault Plug-n-Protect storage appliances. EVault data protection solutions will be immediately available from Hammer's extensive network of resellers throughout Europe that specialize in storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions.

EVault has been a pioneering product for on-premise and Cloud-based data protection since 1997. i365 recently announced EVault for DPM, a collaboration between i365 and Microsoft to establish the first and only heterogeneous disk-based data protection solution that allows IT managers to extend Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 across non-Microsoft platforms and into the Cloud. The solution uses i365’s EVault data protection software and Cloud-Connected storage solutions infrastructure.

Paul Hickingbotham, solutions manager at storage distributor Hammer, said, "Our new distribution agreement will allow our channel customers to benefit from the award-winning EVault product line. Their collaboration with Microsoft on System Center DPM 2010 integration truly strengthens their EVault portfolio.”

“We are delighted that Hammer will be distributing the suite of EVault data protection software and Cloud-Connected services,” said Terry Cunningham, General Manager of i365. “EVault data protection offers proven, cross-platform data backup and recovery, real-time protection, remote disaster recovery, vault- and subscription-based replication, and bare metal restores. We look forward to partnering with Hammer to protect even more of Europe’s data.”

EVault for DPM is an all-in-one backup and recovery appliance that combines DPM’s unified data protection for Microsoft Windows servers and applications with EVault’s robust protection for non-Microsoft platforms and cloud connectivity. With EVault for DPM, customers can send both their DPM and EVault-protected backup data to the i365 Cloud and benefit from offsite disaster recovery protection quickly and economically.

Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager is a member of the Microsoft System Center suite of management products, designed to help IT Professionals manage their Windows environment. DPM 2010 delivers unified data protection for Windows servers and clients as a best-of-breed backup and recovery solution from Microsoft, for Windows environments. DPM 2010 provides the best protection and most supportable restore scenarios for Windows environments to disk, tape and cloud -- in a scalable, reliable, manageable and cost-effective way.

Jason Beeson, solutions director at Hammer, said, “We look forward to working in partnership with i365 in delivering their range of solutions to the channel, backed by Hammer’s value added approach.”
