Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Process is regularly used as the best method for water purification for drinking water.

Water has played an essential role right from the existence of life on earth. Water purification is a process of removing unwanted and hazardous contaminants from raw water using various purification processes for producing pure h2o for human consumption. Owing to latest technological developments, various methods have been discovered for water purification. Ampac-USA is a leading manufacturer of reverse osmosis, RO/DI, water filters, water softeners, seawater desalination watermakers, water coolers, ultra violet Disinfection equipment for residential, commercial, industrial and medical applications.

Reverse Osmosis::
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Process is the method to remove molecules and ions from solutions by applying pressure across a semi permeable membrane. The process of reverse osmosis is regularly used as the best method of water purification. The process uses moderate water pressure to force water molecules through a thin semi permeable membrane purifying the water by removing the water contaminants. As smaller quantity of water is used in domestic purposes, relatively less amount of pressure is used in domestic reverse osmosis products. The case is different for commercial reverse osmosis products as the water quantity used is quite more. The process uses various stages of water purification for different quantities of water and the technology guarantees pure quality water.

Ultra Filtration:
Ultra Filtration (UF) Process uses a pressure driven thin membrane element known as Ultra-filter to produce extremely high pure quality of water. The membrane used in the process is a permeable membrane that separates macro molecules on the basis of the size. The macro molecules include pyrogens, hard dust particles, tiny micro organisms and colloids that pass through infinitesimally ultra fine filter. Ultra Filtration (UF) is also used in industry to separate suspended solids from solution before reverse osmosis process. Industrial applications include food and beverage processing, power generation, pharmaceutical production, biotechnology, semiconductor manufacturing, and complex organic chemical separation. Ampac-USA Ultra Filtration systems consistently deliver water to meet project specifications and requirements. The ultra filtration plant is a combination of advanced technology and state-of-the-art facility producing clean water without affecting taste.

RO/DI:
RO/DI Process is a combination of reverse osmosis and deionization process RO/DI Systems purify water sources providing far superior water quality. Deionized water, also known as demineralized water is water that has all its minerals removed, such as cations from sodium, calcium, copper, iron and anions such as bromide, chloride. DI process comes after RO process. RO remove 85-95% of all impurities, DI will remove the rest 1-5% to supply superior purity water.

Ultra Violet Water Purification Products:
Years ago, through research and development process it was discovered that a special wavelength of UV rays can kill harmful pathogens present in our drinking water. UV light can effectively destroy hazardous bacteria including salmonella, anthrax, E.coli and various other pathogens. The product is considered as the most powerful, effective and affordable solution available in the market. Ultra Violet is used after the Reverse Osmosis Process to insure water sterilization. Ultra Violet is also used in Industrial water purification projects and specially designed for applications requiring 99.9% water purification. Applications include health sector, marine, pharmaceutical, chemical laboratories and many more.

Water Softeners and water Conditioners:
Soft water compared to hard water has numerous benefits. Clean shiny glassware and silverware as an example, No one likes spotty hard water on their glasses or silverware. Since shampoos, soaps and detergents do not lather well in hard water, natural soft water or hard water made softened through an Ion Exchange Water Softener restores the rich lathering cleaning ability and cuts down on the usage and costs of soaps and detergents by 75%. Also, one can return to natural chemical free healthy soaps and laundering agents. The harsh chemicals in today's soaps and detergents were invented to combat hard water and still have some lather. With soft water you will not need these chemical based cleaners. Hair and skin will feel softer, cleaner and smoother. Detergents easily rinse out of soft water. Tests have been done taking laundry that had gone through a rinse cycle in hard water, taken these "rinsed" clothing out and putting them in clean soap-less water, agitating them and watching soap still come out of the clothing.

Soft water allows detergents to completely rinse out . Fabrics are also softer without hard minerals become trapped in them. Fabrics last longer and whites stay white without the dingy gray caused by hard water.

Soft water also does not leave chalk or orange rings around bathtubs and sinks. This saves time in house cleaning and embarrassment of having cleaned yet finding it difficult to remove all the hard water deposits.

Soft water also preserves the life of all house plumbing and all water using appliances such as water heaters, ice makers, dishwashers and coffee makers. Hard water wears appliances out quickly and requires more energy use as appliances do not work as well when they are corroded or clogged with mineral deposits.

The benefits of Water Softeners are more than one would realize initially and usually involve a cost savings that more than pays for the softener in about 4-5 years and most softeners are expected to last at least 10-20 years, with many lasting much longer.

Savings on fuels costs and on properly working water heaters is another benefit too. Let's look at average replacement of some of the basic appliance due to hard water corrosions; $460-water heater, $200 faucet set, $400-$800 washer/dryer set, and the entire plumbing system $3000-$5000.
