Next-Phase Cloud-based Irrigation Management Software Released
PRLog - Apr. 29, 2014 - GARLAND, Texas -- Weathermatic announced the General Availability of SmartLink 2.0, the cloud-based irrigation management application used for Weathermatic control systems.   The new release includes a new user experience and a host of new features requested by customers including Controller Status Dashboards, Fault and Event Filtering, Integrated Global Commands, Simplified Alerts and Permissions Management, Improved File Storage and Metric Options.

Weathermatic released SmartLink as the first, affordable cloud-based irrigation control system for commercial applications in the Spring of 2012 and released SmartLink Flow for commercial flow management in 2013. SmartLink now has thousands of connected SmartLine controllers and many prominent landscape contractors who are using SmartLink on a daily basis to manage landscape irrigation.

“Since we launched SmartLink, we have been listening to the feedback from our customers for additional features,” said Brandon Lackey, VP Technology and Marketing for Weathermatic. “We have also come up with some ideas of our own to improve the user experience. Meanwhile, technology has progressed and we have recognized some areas where we can take advantage of the latest web tools.   We are very excited about this new platform for improving irrigation management for our customers.”

Weathermatic is a leading provider of water-conserving technology and services. Using proven irrigation science and market leading technology, our solutions help maximize landscape beauty while saving billions of gallons of water.   Weathermatic has been serving landscape professionals for more than sixty-five years and has a full line of products including software, controllers, sensors, valves, rotors, sprays and nozzles.  These products have been installed in more than 80 countries and on high profile properties like the U.S. Capitol Building, Buckingham Palace and the College Football Hall of Fame.  Weathermatic also provides water-saving Sustainability Services for commercial properties that can save 20-70% in landscape water through smart irrigation technology implementation, monitoring, inspections and reporting.

We’re driven by a simple purpose, to help our customers save water in the landscape where most water waste occurs. But for us, it doesn't stop at conservation.  We found that a year’s worth of over watering from an average commercial property could provide enough clean drinking water for 200 families in a developing country. So we made it our mission to find a way to donate the water we save together to global clean water projects. Through our Gallon for Gallon campaign, we donate one gallon of clean drinking water for every gallon of landscape water saved. These contributions will bring safe and clean water to thousands of the world’s thirsty in the coming year and for generations.
