Manhattan, New York - March 23, 2018 - NeoDocto Foundation, USA extended the support to rural development minister, Government of Gujarat, India to control malaria in the rural areas of the state through a collaboration and implementation of ‘NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme’. The Global President and CEO of NeoDocto Inc, Madhukar Sanneerappa met Mr. Ranchhodbhai Chhanabhai Faladu, Honourable Minister for Rural Development, Government of Gujarat and discussed the vision of Gujarat to make –A Malaria Free State by 2022.
Malaria is the third most common disease in India after gastroenteritis and typhoid. Malaria is predominant in Gujarat state especially in the rural areas like villages and forests where people have less access to healthcare services and lack of health education. The Government of Gujarat has been constantly endeavouring to make rural life better. The basis of Gujarat model of development is 'People's Participation', as it reflects in its pledge of 'Collective Efforts and Inclusive Growth'.
The Gujarat state is driving 'Malaria Free Gujarat 2022 Campaign'. The goals of the campaign are to eliminate malaria throughout Gujarat by 2022 and maintain malaria-free status in areas where malaria transmission has been interrupted and prevent reintroduction of malaria.
“The measures to prevent malaria outbreaks in the remote areas of rural regions through health education at village centres have been discussed with the Rural Development Minister. ‘NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme’ will support Gujarat state in creating the awareness of malaria disease.
