Workplace Safety Negligence Costs Two Construction Companies Millions

A Torrance California jury swiftly finds two leading construction companies negligent in workplace safety case, awarding plaintiff Carlos Salazar over $2.8 Million. Salazar was represented by Dan Kramer of Kramer Holcomb Sheik LLP.
LOS ANGELES - April 26, 2018 - PRLog -- An arduous six-year case, ended in a remarkably swift (45 minute) jury decision, awarding $2,847,500.00  in favor of the plaintiff, injured electrician, Carlos Salazar.

According to court documents (Case No: BC562473), the jury found that Defendants Cosco Fire Protection, Inc. and Cannon Constructors failed to maintain workplace safety. Carlos Salazar, 46, was at a construction site for his second day of work when he fell into a trench dug by Cosco Fire Protection, Inc.  As a result of his fall, Plaintiff broke his ribs on his left side and suffered a ruptured spleen.

Born in Los Angeles' Culver City  Carlos Salazar has understood the role of provider and protector since he was 11 when his father left home. Now, married over 26 years to his wife Kristen, he provides for their three children Angel, Elijah and Elyssa.

Damages amounting to  $2,847,500.00 were awarded.
