City announces commitments from the New Mexico United for possible soccer stadium, contingent on bond approval

According to a letter of intent, the United will commit $10 million toward the construction costs of a stadium, should Albuquerque voters say yes to a $50 million bond on Nov. 2. The team also committed to paying $800,000 in rent per year to the city over the course of a 25-year lease, and $100,000 per year from concessions and revenues generated from the facility over that duration.
