Overcoming Hell in High Heels: The inspirational life of Mrs. Tampa US Nation 2023

By: Get News
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela

Victori K. Saber, the reigning Mrs. Tampa US Nation 2023 titleholder, is a woman who has overcome challenges that would break many others. In spite of a challenging upbringing that included human trafficking, molestation, ostracization, and poverty, Victori has grown above it all to become a thriving business owner, beauty queen, author, philanthropist, and advocate for those who have gone through hard times of life.

She was born and raised in suburban Chicagoland and California, and due to her parents' struggle with substance abuse, Victori was put into the foster care system. But even in the face of such adversity, she never lost hope and her passion for music led her to create a music-themed vacation rental home, which has become a huge success.

As she says:

“Our lives are bigger than just us; what we choose to do or not do will affect those immediately around us as well as generations of people not even thought of now. Empty pages are there for you to write down your own reflections.”

She has penned down bits and pieces of her life in her book: “Overcoming Hell in High Heels”. Her stories are the reflection of her resilience, strength, and determination, and her journey of breaking generational curses and overcoming her difficult past.

The book tells us the stories of three people:

‘Macy; a single mom of twin boys, D’Lori; who was raised by an overbearing conservative mother, and Chante; a homeless teen mom struggling to put all the pieces together alone.’

The book serves as an inspiration to all who read it.

“One life has an effect on another! When one wins, we all win, […] I wrote this book to show my family that it is not about what happens to you in life but what you choose to do about it. Unfortunately, people who have been hurt in their lives tend to turn around and hurt people themselves. The abused becomes the abuser, and it trickles down into a world of madness. I refuse to go down this road, and I know the first step, which is the hardest step, is to let go of the hurt.”

Victori plans to use her title to uplift others as she has a strong desire to give back to her community and plans to speak at homeless teen shelters, group homes, and women's prisons, sharing her message of courage and resilience.

Victori is also passionate about stopping child trafficking, recycling, preservation of the earth, navigating self-esteem and mental health while battling physical deformities, the impact trauma can leave young Americans for the span of their life, as well as destigmatizing the image of black women in the media.

Victori is also seeking sponsors who share her philanthropic mission. She is particularly interested in working with HBCU businesses that encourage people of color to occupy luxury spaces and enjoy the lifestyle unabashedly. In addition, she hopes to work together with doctors specializing in deformities and mental health professionals to transform her goals into reality.

The military mother understands the importance of education and has accomplished an Executive master’s in business administration from Jacksonville University. She began her journey with the Miss US Nation pageant after being noticed at Super Chic Miami Art Basel Edition Fashion Week. She was offered the opportunity to represent her city of Tampa to compete at the state pageant; Miss Florida US Nation 2023 which she won the state crown in January. Victori has also recently walked for Super Chic New York Fashion Week.

She believes in the power of self-belief and determination and encourages others to never give up on their dreams, no matter how difficult their circumstances may be.

Through her work, Victori is a true inspiration to all who know her. She has proven that with hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose, anything is possible.
