Tokyo, January 16, 2009 — Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE:HIT / TSE:6501) commented on news articles that reported Hitachi’s financial outlook for fiscal 2008 ending March 31, 2009. However these articles weren’t based on Hitachi’s disclosure.
