(b) On February 28, 2007, Mr. Gary D. Forsee, a Class I Director of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company ("Goodyear"), informed Goodyear that as a result of his responsibilities at Sprint Nextel Corp., where he is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President, and in particular due to overlapping Board meeting dates in the future, he has declined to stand for reelection as a Director at Goodyear's Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held on April 10, 2007.
