NEWS RELEASE

TEEKAY SHIPPING CORPORATION DECLARES DIVIDEND

Nassau, The Bahamas, July 6, 2004 - Teekay Shipping Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has voted to declare a cash dividend on its common stock of $0.125 per share, payable on July 30, 2004 to all shareholders of record as at July 16, 2004.
