By letter dated June 21, 2008, Susan P. McGalla, President and Chief Merchandising Officer of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (the "Company") has advised the Company that she will not renew her employment agreement which expires, January 31, 2009.  Her responsibilities as President will be assumed by Jim O'Donnell, Chief Executive Officer, and the Company will conduct a search for a new Chief Merchandising Officer.
