Black Men Vote to Host Shop Talk Events in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Detroit on March 30th

A Community-Driven Event Empowering Black Men Through Civic Engagement, Uniting Voices, and Shaping Futures

PHILADELPHIA, PA / ACCESSWIRE / March 29, 2024 / Black Men Vote proudly announces Shop Talk events scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Detroit. These dynamic events are aimed at empowering Black men to exercise their right to vote, advocate for change, and shape the future of their communities by encouraging voter registration and engagement.

BMV's Shop Talk program goes into the heart of the community to engage Black men in familiar and trusted spaces (the barbershop). These events serve as opportunities to gather and exchange essential information while fostering a culture of strength through civic participation. From politics to men's health, this program gives Black men their own platform to share, learn and build.

Starting in Detroit in the morning, Detroit's Shop Talk event will take place at Legacy Barber College, 1114 S Winter St. Adrian, MI 49221, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing an opportunity for Black men to engage in discussions about their role in shaping the future through voting.

In Philadelphia, the Shop Talk event will take place at Philly Cuts Barbershop located at 4409 Chestnut St #2913, Philadelphia, PA 19104, from 12 pm to 6 pm. The event will feature an open house and group discussions emphasizing the significance of voting and the active participation of Black men in the electoral process.

The third event, Milwaukee's Shop Talk event will be held at Zoe's Barbershop, 4919 W Fond du Lac Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53216, from 1 pm to 7 pm, focusing on the electoral power of Black men, spotlighting the critical role of voting and the empowerment of Black men within the electoral sphere.

Black Men Vote, a non-profit organization registered with the Federal Election Commission, is dedicated to helping communities thrive by actively working to register and engage Black men nationwide at all levels of government - federal, state, and local. These events mark a significant milestone for BMV as it continues its mission to empower Black men in civic engagement, community development, and the voting process.
