In 2021, Morris-Jenkins won a Top Workplaces USA award. Prior to that, the company was also recognized as one of Charlotte’s top workplaces in 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2016.

“We are so honored and humbled to be nominated yet again as a Top Workplace here in Charlotte,” said Morris-Jenkins President Jonathan Bancroft. “This is the top honor that all our team members can receive. We believe in educating, enabling, engaging, and empowering everybody on our team to do what they do best. It’s part of what makes Morris-Jenkins such a great place to come to work every day.”

“It is so gratifying to see our partner, Morris-Jenkins, named as a Top Workplace among the thousands of companies that call Charlotte home,” said Ken Haines, CEO of Wrench Group. “We strive to have companies with great cultures as part of our family because we believe that leads to great customer experiences, and no one in the home services industry exemplifies that better than Morris-Jenkins.”

As the leader of a Top Workplace, Jonathan Bancroft also individually won the award as Top Large Company Leader in 2022.

Top Workplaces award winners are determined based on employee feedback. After the program receives employee surveys, scores are calculated in different categories to determine which organizations deserve the title of Top Workplace for the year. Because of the answers from Morris-Jenkins employees, the company additionally won “culture badges” for Employee Appreciation and Professional Development.

Employees at Charlotte’s #1 local HVAC and plumbing company boast about the company culture, stating that employees of all levels are treated with respect and trust. Management at Morris-Jenkins also puts a focus on celebrating employee and company milestones with events and awards.

Aligned with Wrench Group’s mission to bring more workers into the skilled trades, Morris-Jenkins offers several paid training paths for aspiring HVAC technicians and plumbers, further setting them apart from other employers in the area. Their training programs, Tech Builder and Build-a-Plumber, offer applicants the ability to train in their state-of-the-art lab with instruction from some of the best trainers in the industry while getting paid during training. Graduates of the program are then offered full-time positions with the company.
