Banrion Capital Management Launches To Reimagine Alternative Investing

Helmed by the ‘Queen of Alternatives,’ Shana Orczyk Sissel, the new firm provides a technology-driven OCIO platform and educational tools to demystify alternatives for advisors and investors

Banrion Capital Management, a financial services company focused on providing solutions for engaging in alternative investments, announces its official launch this month. The firm is on a mission to make alternatives a core part of investing for everyone through education, technology and other tools for advisors and investors alike.

Founded by CEO Shana Orczyk Sissel, an industry veteran and alternatives expert, Banrion Capital Management aims to arm advisors with the resources they need to incorporate both public and private alternative investments into their practices. The flagship product of Banrion’s suite of offerings is its proprietary outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) technology powered exclusively by AlphaBot. A first-of-its-kind portfolio construction and analytics tool, AlphaBot offers features that simplify complicated tasks like data acquisition, analysis and executing allocations in the alternatives space.

With this tech-driven OCIO platform, advisors can evaluate and scale their alternative investment allocations in an efficient manner, enjoying access to a research portal, wide-ranging educational content and a central database to communicate with strategic partners, as well as a dedicated investment officer for ongoing support as needed.

“The traditional approach to asset management has unfairly viewed alternative investments as complex and inaccessible,” says Sissel. “This approach is flawed, creating undue friction for advisors and clients alike in navigating the alternative investments industry. Banrion strives to be a solution for the execution of and communication around alternative investing. Through our tech-driven approach, we aim to create greater investor access to the exciting world of alternative investments.”

Alternatives are growing in popularity, with the current economic environment driving more investor interest in them than ever before. S&P Global reported last year that assets under management in the global alternatives industry were expected to nearly double between the end of 2021 and 2026, climbing to $23.21 trillion from an estimated $13.32 trillion.

The Banrion Capital Management team will be live at the Exchange conference in Miami Beach this month and available to demo the OCIO platform upon appointment. Visit the landing page for additional details and scheduling availability.
