DeVry University released its annual Impact Report today, offering a detailed look at how the institution serves students, corporate partners and the communities it operates within.

“2025 was marked by a sustained commitment to innovation, guided by the goal of better serving our learners and addressing workforce needs globally,” said Elise Awwad, DeVry University’s president and CEO. “Rapid developments in technology, artificial intelligence and the workforce demand an innovation-centered approach that builds AI and technical fluency while preserving affordability and the economic value of an accredited credential. This focus reflects our responsibility to learners, partners, and employers and our commitment to their long-term success.”

The 2025 impact report provides an in-depth look at DeVry’s commitment to equipping learners with the necessary skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving AI-driven workforce. Highlights from the report include:

  • Embedding AI into the learning experience: DeVry is embedding AI literacy and skill-building into every course by the end of 2026. This commitment expands access for every student to develop the technical proficiency and applied fluency needed to succeed in an AI-augmented workforce. With over 12 AI-named courses, six AI-named program tracks and certificates, the university has positioned itself as a leading AI educator, and innovator, among U.S. universities.
  • Helping make higher education more affordable: The university believes that access to a world-class education is everyone’s right and one that should never be limited by affordability. For the sixth consecutive academic year, DeVry froze its tuition rate and awarded $90 million in institutional aid1.
  • Expanding access to education: The university expanded access to education in the Caribbean, launching the “Bridge to Brilliance” initiative in 15 additional countries emphasizing career readiness and providing pathways to success in growing fields such as STEM, healthcare and business. Additionally, enrollment in Scholars programs increased substantially, reaching 17,000 in 2025.
  • Enabling lifelong upskilling: 66% of employers are concerned that the workforce is not keeping up with technology and 59% say there’s no reason to hire new employees unless they have a skills advantage to offer1. To bridge this gap, the university launched DeVryPro which extends DeVry's AI strategy beyond traditional degrees, through its dedicated upskilling and reskilling platform designed to quickly teach workplace-critical skills to working professionals and employer partners.
  • Measuring and enhancing student success: The university continued to prioritize student success by closely monitoring several key performance indicators, including session-to-session persistence, which has continued to increase from 83.1% in the 2019 academic year to 88.5% in 2025, positively influencing graduation outcomes.
  • Partnering with industry leaders: DeVry is committed to working with visionary partners who provide our students with experience beyond the classroom. In 2025, DeVry expanded its partnership with 1871, introducing a new Graduate Certificate in Innovation as well as joining the Startup Roadmap Program to prepare the next generation of technology and business leaders. Its collaboration with OneTen benefited 55 students, while Chicago Innovation supported colleagues, students and alumni in the Women’s Mentoring Co-op, fostering leadership and career growth.

In 2025, the university earned several prestigious accolades including: No. 2 ranking in Niche’s 2026 Best Colleges for Information Technology in America; National Center of Academic Excellence designation in Cyber Defense; No. 10 national power ranking in the Fall 2025 National Cyber League (NCL) competition; inclusion in the 2026 GSV 150; and recognition in Newsweek’s 2026 America’s Top Online Colleges

“As the labor market undergoes a major recalibration, executing our mission has never been more critical,” Awwad said. “DeVry remains committed to serving as a catalyst for social and economic mobility by empowering learners to advance their careers, uplift their communities and strengthen the broader workforce.”
