“TRT World Forum 2022” Starts Tomorrow

With the theme "Mapping the Future: Uncertainties, Realities & Opportunities", the 6th TRT World Forum, begins tomorrow and will be held on December 9 and 10, will start tomorrow with the participation of academics, journalists, leaders and non-governmental organizations from around the world.

This year, the 6th TRT World Forum will feature nearly 100 speakers from 35 countries, including leaders, experts, academics and prominent names who will present new perspectives and approaches to global problems under the title "Mapping the Future: Uncertainties, Realities and Opportunities".

TRT World Forum, which was held online in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemics, will host important names in Istanbul after two years. TRT World Forum will begin on Friday, December 9, with opening speeches by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Communications Director of Republic of Turkey Fahrettin Altun and Director General of TRT Mehmet Zahid Sobaci on Friday.

After the opening ceremony and keynote speeches, various panels will be held, including "Feeding the World: Ensuring Global Food Security in Times of Crisis", "Disarming Disinformation: Defending the Truth in the Digital Age" and "The Energy Crisis and Climate Change: Time to Turn Crisis into Opportunity?".

On the second day of the program, "Digitalisation: A Rewarding Challenge for Public Broadcasting?", "Beyond Humanitarianism: Addressing the Global Migration Crisis", "The Russia-Ukraine War: Lessons Learned" and "Reporting from the Front Lines: Journalism in the Shadow of War" panels will be held.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has attended every TRT World Forum since 2017 and has made striking statements about Turkey's and the world's agenda that have attracted great interest in the world press, is expected to make important statements at this year's event as well.
