Venezuelan actress Ariadna González praises the work of streaming platforms in Miami for bringing Hispanic artists closer to communities in America and around the world. González believes that streaming platforms are allowing Hispanic talent to be seen in a more positive light.
González is currently working with Latino icons such as Lupita Ferrer, Zully Montero, Eduardo Pardo, Lili Rentería, and Francisco Porras. She has performed in the second season of “Casa de Muñecas 2, El Regreso de Nora” and will soon premiere “El Puente” with Lina Echeverry.
As an actress, González came to the United States alone to fulfill her dreams. She has been impressed with Miami's diversity, where people from Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Ukraine, Asia, and Africa can all live together in one place.
González recognizes that Latinos have been presented wrongly for many years, only with roles that do not define them. She gave recent examples of Ana de Armas playing Marilyn Monroe and Jenna Ortega's role on Netflix as Wednesday. González believes that the American reality, with 62.1 million of Hispanic origin, deserves a greater representation.
González believes that the work of Hispanic artists "cannot be seen pejoratively, on the contrary, it must be listened to and taken into account more and more." She believes that it's all about adaptability and creating new opportunities. The new generation has a global understanding of the world, full of acceptance and interest in what is different.
Ariadna González is currently enrolled in Drama at Miami Dade College. She has received the award for Best Monologue from the Hispano-American Actoral Society in 2019 and two other awards for the play "La Elegida" in 2018.
