KY Entertainment, the leading Karaoke equipment & instrumental song supplier with 60% market share in South Korea market, is teaming up with Samsung Electronics to launch the world’s first ‘K-POP Keumyoung Karaoke App Service’ on Samsung Smart TVs. Considering the global popularity of K-pop and the fact that people spend more time at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an exclusive app will be developed. The Karaoke app, which is subscription based like Netflix, will launch not only in South Korea, but also in the United States, Canada, and 10 European countries in the upcoming year.
KY Entertainment’s sales executive commented, “We signed a contract with the Korea Music Copyright Association last month to resolve the copyright of music sources for the app service, and recently signed a service supply contract with Samsung Electronics to start full-scale development” and also said, “since COVID-19 has increased the demand for home entertainment significantly in North America, and Europe and anywhere lockdown was strictly implemented, which K-POP Keumyoung karaoke app service can be suitable contents for the contact-free era of upcoming generation.”
KY Entertainment will provide a streaming service for overseas residents and foreign K-POP fans to stream more than 50,000 instrumental songs created from latest K-POP charts, all time favorite songs, and billboards 100 charts. Additionally, KY Entertainment’s patented ‘lyric reading audio source’ will help K-POP fans who do not know Korean to read the lyrics and sing along.
The app subscription will be available to both newly released and existing Samsung Smart TVs.
KY Entertainment is also strengthening its “Home Karaoke Service ” through “KT Giga Genie, by KT, the industry leading ISP”
