Inverness Common Rail Diesel Injector Tests: Delphi-Approved Services Announced

Extract Engineering (01228 558866) announces the introduction of the latest generation of diesel injector test benches, offering manufacturer approved capabilities to heavy vehicle operators in Inverness, Edinburgh, and other parts of southern Scotland.

The firm has recently introduced the Hartridge AVM-2 PC diesel injector test bench, allowing it to test and refurbish common rail injectors to OEM standards. One of only 12 Delphi-authorized testing facilities in the UK, the firm states that it also has expertise in the latest systems from VDO, DENSO, and Bosch.

In addition to southern Scotland, Extract Engineering’s enhanced service is available to haulage companies across the northwest of England and border regions. The firm points out that, as a locally based provider, it offers a more efficient option when compared to sending diesel injectors further afield.

Modern common rail diesel injector systems are significantly more complex than their older mechanical counterparts, calling for a corresponding upgrade in testing and repair capabilities. Delphi advises that several symptoms could indicate a faulty injector, including a check engine light, rough idling, engine knocks, engine surges, fuel leakage, poor fuel economy, or increased emissions.

Extract Engineering explains that the majority of Delphi-approved testing facilities are located in Preston or the Midlands, which is adds time and expense for local heavy vehicle operators. With the latest announcement, the firm offers a locally based solution using advanced technology and OEM parts.

“Extract Engineering conduct the most detailed testing and fault analysis available to the commercial transport and heavy goods industries in the North West, Borders, and Scotland,” a company representative explained. “We have recently installed and commissioned upgrades to our testing capabilities, confirming our status as one of only 12 authorized Delphi Commercial Test & Repair Centres in the UK.”
