Cheryl Mosier has been named the first female in the more than 120-year history of the PHCC of California.

EL CAJON, Calif. - June 27, 2022 - PRLog -- PHCC of California, the nation's oldest trade association, has named Cheryl Mosier as the new President for 2022-2023. This makes her the first woman to hold the leadership position in the 120-year history of the association.

Mosier is the marketing and customer relations manager for San Diego-based Cable, Pipe and Leak Detection, and has been a member of the PHCC for over 35 years. She became active in the San Diego Chapter of the PHCC in 2003, and joined the Board of Directors in 2006. She served with the National PHCC Auxiliary as Recording Secretary for 2 years and then came up the chairs to President in 2014. During that same time period, she also served on the National PHCC Board. She has served on the California Board since 2015.

"It's a privilege to be elected as the first female PHCC of California president," Mosier said. "One of the best practices that PHCC is working on is workforce development. Our local, state and national associations are working diligently to get the trades back into high school and junior high levels. Educational opportunities can be found throughout California and we are continually presenting education classes for new procedures and technology in the plumbing industry. I look forward to meeting with our membership statewide, and learn about new procedures and technology in our industry."

Mosier is replacing two-term president, Mike DeSilva of Plumbing Plus in San Diego to lead PHCC of California in the coming term.
