Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. (“ACS”) (NASDAQ:ALSK), is proud to announce the expansion of its CDMA network and new retail relationship with Alaska Commercial Company. ACS, along with ACC, is celebrating the grand opening of the Barrow retail outlet on Saturday, September 8th, within the AC Value Center store, located at 4725 Ahkobak St.

The official ACS retail outlet Grand Opening in Barrow begins Saturday, September 8th, and runs through Wednesday, September 12th. Store hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. To celebrate the store’s opening, a selection of free phones will be available to new ACS customers and to those converting to ACS’ enhanced CDMA wireless network. Visitors may also enter a drawing to win a free Motorola KRZR.
