Alaska Communications Systems is First in Alaska to Introduce the Kyocera Lingo

Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ:ALSK), Alaska's leading integrated communications provider, today announced the availability of the Kyocera Lingo, an eye-catching, voice and text messaging sensation that Alaskan holiday shoppers can now get exclusively from ACS.

With its full QWERTY and standard keypads, the Lingo makes text messaging easier than ever. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, Internet browsing capability, Bluetooth® and speakerphone.

Although teenagers nationwide have been driving the text messaging trend, nearly everyone is texting since it has become a more fluid way to communicate with friends, said Bill Bishop, ACS director of retail sales and service. As a company committed to bringing Alaskans innovative and useful products on the best network, we are happy to introduce a device that makes communicating more enjoyable and easier.

The Lingo is available now at all ACS store locations or online at www.acsalaska.com for as low as $39 with a three-year contract. Unlimited text messaging is available for just $4 per month.
