Spartan Solar Rises Above the Pandemic and Generates Millions in Sales

Since its establishment in March 2021, Spartan Solar, LCC, has been experiencing exponential growth under the leadership of its founder and CEO, Alexander Herschel Smith. Despite being relatively new in the industry, it has managed to generate a staggering $20,000,000 in sales since March. Today, with 36 in-house sales representatives working tirelessly to push for clean and green energy, the company is poised to reach its target of $30 million in sales before the year ends, all within its first 10 months of business. Smith describes it as the easiest job in the history of sales, stating “We talk people into spending less money on a utility bill they were never going to cancel, become owners of their power instead of lifelong renters, and get thousands of dollars from government tax credits to do it”.

Spartan Solar’s mission has always been to give its clients the best of the best. Not only are the solar panels of the highest quality, the salespeople and installers are also committed to giving each client a meaningful experience; Everything is done with the purpose to exceed the expectations of clients and to generate their loyalty.

Spartan Solar sets itself apart by focusing on what matters most to homeowners. It has one of the fastest installation and activation timelines in the solar industry, unlike other companies that can take months to complete their services. Clients can go solar with 0$ out of pocket, and get a 25-year warranty on their roof, equipment, and workmanship.

“We are uniquely positioned in the market place because we are able to use multiple installers to offer our clients the lowest monthly investment with the highest quality materials. We are also able to provide our clients with energy efficiency upgrades, such as state of the art HVACs and hybrid water heaters, that essentially allow our customers to upgrade their entire home,” Smith reveals, “They just replace a higher utility bill that they will never cancel (a liability) with a lower fixed power bill that goes to paying off a solar system that they own (an asset).”

Smith graduated with a triple major from FSU studying Finance, Professional Sales, and Marketing. He realizes, however, that he learned more in the first three months making solar sales compared to the four years he spent in college. Smith made the bold move to venture out on his own and start Spartan Solar in March 2021, and the months that followed were very exciting and humbling as he put into motion a venture that would generate millions of dollars in sales.

Prior to creating his own solar company, Smith started out in the solar industry as a sales representative working for Sungrade Solar from 2016 to 2018. Within four months he was promoted to regional manager, and within the year he became Director of Sales. In 2018, he transitioned to Kota Energy Group as Regional Manager and was responsible for growing the company’s Bay Area office and adding the San Diego office. In May 2020, he opened a Florida office for Kota.

“At Spartan Solar, we have created a unique culture that is filled with individuals that are thare the same mission and vision. Everyone wants to get better and help each other win, so we’ve continued to recruit friends and family to join the mission. We have all learned that it’s not about what you make- it’s what you become in the process. Luckily, we are also able to make a lot of money helping families make the switch to solar energy,” Smith explained.

Armed with the right set of values and objectives, Smith is confident Spartan Solar will grow to historical heights and continue to push the boundaries of sales and solar energy.
