Dapper Dinos announced a $300,000 contribution to Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit aimed to close the gender gap in technology and empower this next generation of programmers to help solve our most urgent problems.

Girls Who Code has heard countless women talk about the challenges they’re facing: income limitations, lack of exposure to computer science, internships being canceled, and so much more. As an official partner of Girls Who Code, Dapper Dinos NFT recognizes the importance of female programmers and aims to help overcome these inequalities and improve the engineering community as a whole.

Dapper Dinos’ contribution will help Girls Who Code expand their Pipeline program and enable over 450,000 girls to pursue their computer programming dreams. The program helps women foster ongoing connections, develop career-readiness skills, and build confidence, ultimately improving their persistence in CS. Girls Who Code does this by offering:
- Club programs: free after school curriculum to provide sisterhood activities and self-guided coding tutorials
- College Loops: college club not only for GWC alumni, but women majoring in CS/tech-related fields to participate in activities designed to build connections, leadership skills, and confidence in technical abilities.
- Virtual Mentoring: mentors and mentee pairs to build a 1:1 relationship over 6 months to establish healthy and impactful relationships
- GWC Talk Series: panel discussion that include CS/Tech experts to help guide women into their careers.
