Alaska Communications Systems Introduces New Wireless Rate Plans

“We’ve built and operated the state’s largest and most advanced wireless network, the only statewide 3G CDMA network. Now, after extensive customer wireless usage research, we’ve redesigned our plans to better meet the needs of Alaska’s wireless users,” said Liane Pelletier, president, CEO and chair.

Highlights of the new ACS plans include:

• Improved rates on many of the most popular plans, including the Alaska Unlimited and Nationwide Unlimited plans.
• Minute buckets aligned with ACS customer needs, resulting in worry-free wireless plans.

• The creation of Family Plans, providing the best value for multi-person households.
• The addition of free nights (9pm to 6am) and weekends and unlimited mobile to mobile to every ACS wireless plan.

• Three easy to choose and easy to use feature packs including Unlimited Global Text, The Works, and The Works Plus.
• The introduction of AK FAVTM,a feature that allows ACS customers to choose their favorite 907 phone number so that all calls placed within the ACS Network to that number will be free.
• The availability of Handset Insurance to protect customers in cases of stolen, damaged, or lost phones.
• The option of adding Unlimited Mobile Internet to any Unlimited voice plan for just $30 a month.
