International singing sensation Olya Lishus, lead vocalist of the group Olya Beats, has returned to her wartorn hometown of Lviv after an extended getaway. She's currently recording the followup to the smash hit "When I Saw Him", and has refused to do it anywhere else.The internationally composed group "Olya Beats" (consisting of Ukrainian singing sensation Olya Lishus, world-renowned American singer-songwriter Downtown Tim Gilbert, and award-winning Slovakian composer Ivan Nemec) has announced the upcoming release of their much-anticipated second single, "Run to the Sun (My Heart)"... now due out in May 2023, in time for summer vacation listening.
Downtown Tim Gilbert, who heads up the Accelerated Dreams Music label out of Santa Fe, New Mexico, announced in a press conference this week that the single had been pushed to May due to their lead singer Olya having been on a 3-month getaway in Cancun, Mexico, taking a break from the war in her home country.

Olya Lishus has now returned to her hometown of Lviv (close to the Polish border and a frequent target of Russian missile attacks) following her extended getaway.

In an interview with us she shared, "The success of the first single from our group (Olya Beats) was astonishing, and the fans are demanding the followup. I recorded "When I Saw Him" in Ukraine and I just had to be true to my home country and come back to record our next song, which is a deeper, darker ballad of lost love and heartbreak".
She continued, "While I was still in Cancun, my friends and family began calling me constantly, "The label is trying to get in touch with you! The label is trying to get in touch with you!" Tim was insistent that we had to rapidly record the next song due to the overwhelming pressure from the fan base as a result of our first song, "When I Saw Him". But I held out. I wanted to be back in Ukraine... of course I want the war to be over, but my success was created there, and I can't turn my back on my beloved country now. Also, Ukraine will need lots of young people to help rebuild the country once peace has been reestablished."
In closing, Downtown Tim asked fans to be patient. "Run to the Sun (My Heart) will be even more captivating than "When I Saw Him". Recently-named Composer of the Year, Ivan Nemec (from Martin, Slovakia), has a musical composition for this one that will take your breath away", said Gilbert.
