By: Get News
A leading medical practice offering personalized and holistic healthcare services, Gitelcare’s Dr. Dimitri Gitelmaker, an esteemed obesity medicine expert, proudly announces the launch of Transform360, a comprehensive weight loss program designed to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals through physical and mental, and lifestyle factors.

In today's world, we are all looking for a more personalized experience, from the coffee we order to the clothes we wear. So why should healthcare be any different? That's where concierge medicine comes in - a more personalized approach to healthcare that has been gaining popularity in recent years.

Dr. Dimitri M. Gitelmaker, MD, is a Harvard Medical School-trained concierge physician, double board certified in internal and obesity medicine in Miami, Florida, offering a unique approach to medical care. In this model, patients pay an annual fee for exclusive access to their doctor's services, which include a yearly executive physical, 24/7 availability, same-day appointments, zero wait times, and extended visits. This fee allows patients to enjoy a more personal, direct relationship with their physician.

So, what sets concierge medicine apart from traditional practices? For starters, the focus is on quality rather than quantity. With a limited number of patients, concierge physicians can spend more time with each patient and provide a more comprehensive approach to care. This means patients get the attention and care they need, when needed, without waiting for hours in a crowded waiting room or rushed appointments.

In addition, concierge medicine provides patients with greater access to cutting-edge medical technology and the latest treatments. With more time to focus on each patient's individual needs, concierge physicians are better able to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in medical technology and treatments and provide their patients with the best possible care.

The most significant advantage of concierge medicine is the personal relationship patients can develop with their physicians. By having a more direct and personalized relationship with their doctor, patients can build trust, share information more freely, and receive tailored care. This leads to better outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.

We sat down with Dr. Dimitri to learn more about his concierge medical practice and why he believes it is the future of healthcare.

Q:  How did you first become interested in concierge medicine?

Dr. D: I've always wanted to provide more personalized patient care. In traditional practices, there needed to be more time to get to know my patients and provide the level of care I wanted to provide. With my Transform360 program, I get to spend hours with new patients and focus on each patient's needs, providing a more holistic approach to care.

Q: What are some benefits your patients have seen from your concierge practice?

Dr. G: The most significant benefit is the personalized attention and care they receive. With more time to focus on each patient, I can provide more comprehensive care, including preventive care and early detection of health issues. Patients have greater access to me and my team, with same-day appointments and 24/7 availability. This results in better outcomes for my patients, like Carla, who lost 40 pounds, reversed her diabetes, and got off most of her medications, a process called “de-prescribing.” I aim to de-prescribe or get my patients off as many medications as possible.

Q: How do you stay up-to-date on the latest medical technology and treatments?

Dr. G: The best doctors are always learning. Because I have a smaller patient load, I can spend more time implementing the most modern innovative treatments and technologies that can benefit my patients. For example, at Columbia, I started developing the Transform360 program, where I applied artificial medical intelligence and other novel machine learning tech to create customized plans for my patients. This leads to optimized results. This weekend I’m attending a conference to learn how to use high-frequency electromagnetism to build muscles in patients with mobility issues to jump-start their progress.

Q: What advice do you have for patients considering concierge medicine?

Dr. G: I encourage patients to think about what is most important to them regarding healthcare. If personalized care, greater access to their physician, and a more comprehensive approach to care are essential, concierge medicine may be a good fit for them. It's important to research and find a concierge physician who is the right fit for you.

Concierge medicine offers patients a more personalized, direct, and comprehensive approach to healthcare. With a focus on quality over quantity, concierge physicians like Dr. Dimitri can provide patients with the attention and care needed to stay healthy and live.
