She has a undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, Masters of Education degree in Curriculum Instruction, and Education Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership. Growing up in a predominately white community in Massachusetts, Brown deeply desired to learn about her heritage, leading her to pursue history and teaching.
