ACS Announces New Vice President, Human Resources

Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. (ACS) (NASDAQ:ALSK), Alaskas leading integrated communications provider, today announced the appointment of Nate Cagle as Vice President, Human Resources, effective today. Cagle joins the executive team at ACS as a business leader and chief of HR. He will also serve as the companys Chief Compliance Officer.

I am excited for Nate to join the team. He brings all the global experience, wisdom, energy, interpersonal skills and insight needed to energize the ACS workforce, where instilling a love of change, competition and making strategic choices is key, said Liane Pelletier, ACS president, chief executive and chairman. He is a proven professional in every aspect of human resources, with specialty expertise in labor relations, compensation design, organizational development and process improvement. He has worked with many senior executive teams and Boards of Directors. His prior employers roles in the telecommunications and submarine cable industries among other more diverse industries will serve ACS well.

Background on Cagle

Cagle has been serving start-up and emerging businesses that require senior human resources services on an interim or part-time basis for the last few years. Prior to that, he served as vice president of human resources for large publicly traded firms throughout the U.S. Cagle is a retired U.S. Naval Reserve Commander. He holds a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelors from High Point College in North Carolina. He will be relocating to Alaska this month, a place he knew while in the Air Force.
