Alaska Communications Systems Unveils New Retail Location in Homer; Store to Open on Black Friday

Alaska Communications Systems Group, Inc. ("ACS") (NASDAQ: ALSK) announced today the relocation and opening of a new retail store in Homer. The store, located at 3546 Greatland Street, will serve customers starting on Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving.

Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the store will feature ACS’ latest phones and accessories. To mark the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, ACS is offering special discounts on select PDAs, smart phones and other wireless devices, including $50 off a BlackBerry® Pearl or Curve for new customers. Some phone models will be discounted by as much as 50 percent with activation.

“We encourage everyone to stop by the new location in Homer. It’s a beautiful new building that will provide our customers with a great shopping experience. They can compare wireless handsets, check out DSL service, wireless Internet, our current holiday BlackBerry® offer and so much more,” said Janet Klatt, Director, Retail Sales and Service.

ACS’ existing Homer store at 205 Main Street will close on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
